History
Coll d'Ordino connects two of Andorra's primary valleys and is a core local climb used in Andorran cycling races. The ascent from Ordino is 10.1 km at 6.9% average — steep enough to be selective but short enough to be ridden hard by strong climbers.
The mountain is heavily forested on lower sections, opening to alpine meadow and exposed terrain near the 1,980 m summit. The switchbacks are tight and the road surface is excellent, making it a popular training climb.
The pass is frequently used in Andorran cycling events and training routes, and it's a benchmark climb for local racers. The combination of steepness, forest scenery, and technical corners make it a complete climbing experience.
